MONDAY 3:05 - 4:05 PM:

 

BREAD MAKING CLASS (GRADES K-5) 

This class will explore the many ways to make bread. We will prepare sweet friendship bread, zucchini bread, cheesy cornbread and cinnamon swirl bread. Have you ever     thought of creating a bread in the shape of a turtle? Also on our line up is chocolate bread, sandwich bread, banana bread and funfetti bread! There will be many surprise “pop up” recipes along the way. Led by Kids Cookery! ($300)

 

SOCCER (GRADES K-2)

Students will participate in a variety of soccer based skills and drills as well as play soccer games in a fun, safe, and supportive setting. Backyard Sports will cover fundamental skills including passing, dribbling, shooting on goal, and how to play defense. ($300)

 

HIP HOP BY INFINITE MOTION STUDIOS (GRADES K-2)

Celebrity dancer/choreographer, Mikey, teaches the fundamentals of dance through break dance, freestyle & fun choreography. This grooving class is a great way to elevate students’ confidence and self expression along with coordination. Mikey brings positive and fun energy to his class as if you were at your favorite concert.  His ability to create a safe non judgmental environment is the reason why his class is so popular. His goal is to celebrate each student’s unique dance abilities at the same time encouraging each student to be their authentic self through the culture of Hip-Hop. This program is brought to you by Infinite Motion Studios where every student is Infinite.   ($300)

 

SKETCHBOOK CLUB (GRADES K-2)

In Sketchbook Club, artists experiment with various tools (like graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and oil and chalk pastels) while exploring drawing prompts that spark their imagination, develop concentration, and extend attention span. Presented by Scribble Art ($300)

 

3D WORLD BUILDING (GRADES 2-5)

Expand the depth of your child’s creativity with iCAMP’s 3D World Building course. In this class, students will be challenged to design and build their own fantastic worlds through 3D modeling software and the Minecraft Education Edition. Students will be encouraged to thoughtfully plan out these worlds to fit their vision and then give them the time and space to execute these plans to perfection. Once the bedrock of their new world has been laid, they will then flesh out their locations and structures with backstories, characters of their own design, and storylines that their peers can actually interact with and play through. ($300)

 

JOURNALISM: READ ALL ABOUT IT! (3-5)

Join the staff of your very own newspaper, and develop time management and writing skills as you learn “who, what, when, where and why.” Students will learn to interview, write about local news, voice their opinions in op-ed essays and manage production of their digital publication. A must for aspiring school newspaper writers and editors! Led by Spark Business Academy ($300)

CAMP GAMES (GRADES 1-3)

Students will participate in a variety of summer camp style games like capture the flag, tag games, kickball, soccer, basketball, and relay races. Led by Backyard Sports. ($325)

  

EXCITED ABOUT ELECTRICITY (GRADES K-1)

Circuits, batteries, motors, and whirring gizmos abound in our introduction to electricity for young learners. iCAMPS’s: Excited about Electricity course is a perfect way to flip a switch in your child’s mind and get them excited about what exactly is going on inside of all their favorite devices. With the use of snappable circuit sets, hands-on experiments, and student-led instruction, children in Kindergarten through 1st grade can begin to understand what makes a working circuit and how to use cause and effect to solve their problems. By the end of the course, each student will develop the working knowledge to build simple machines like propellers, powered by their very own circuits.  ($325)

 

PHREAKY PHYSICS (GRADES K-2)

Is your energy potential or kinetic? Find out with Mad Science as students explore centrifugal force and gyroscopes.  Become a junior engineer and experiment with axles, pulleys, levers, gears and wheels. Some of the weekly topics in this session are: Harnessing Heat, Mad Science Machines, Mad Magnets, Super Structures, Under Pressure, “Current” Events, Lights…Color…Action! Watts Up, Energy Burst & Fun-damental Forces. ($325)

 

CREATIVE PAINTING & SLIME ART(GRADES K-2)

Participants in this class will master foundational painting techniques, but that’s not all! Children will also be encouraged to express their creative selves within these skills. Instructors artfully maintain a balance between teaching the ways of the paintbrush and nurturing a child’s creative spirit, creating a harmony unique to the Honest Art experience. Slime encourages wonder and joy, offering an artistic way to evoke your child's senses while having fun. Children will have the chance to engage in a new sensory experience and learn about unusual textures. The variety of slime textures, colors and consistencies encountered evoke joy, excitement, and creativity in kids of all ages.  ($325)

 

SEW HAPPY NARWHAL (GRADES 2-5)

Join Sew Happy for "Narwhals, Narwhals" hand sewing project including decorative narwhal bunting, a pillow with a narwhal pocket, a bookmark and fun friendship bracelets. Hand painted musical narwhals, jellyfish and shells are the theme of this adorable project.  Students will learn how to thread a needle, tie a knot, pin, and stitch with a trained instructor. Beginners are welcome at this class and experienced sewers will love working on a new project. ($325)



WEDNESDAY  3:05 - 4:05 PM:

 

CHOPPED CULINARY SWEET & SAVORY DELIGHTS (GRADES K-5)

Come spend the afternoon with Amy Rosen Cooking by Design.  Each class is all hands on and the students will learn how to follow a recipe, chop, measure and put a delicious dish together that they can take home and enjoy.  Amy Rosen is there to supervise and  assist in teaching students a variety of cooking skills. ($325)

 

TENNIS, PICKLEBALL, & GOLF (GRADES 1-3)

Take the first swing with TGA! Learn and develop the fundamentals of three sports: golf, tennis and pickleball in our three-in-one sport session! Students practice and play one of the three sports each week while exploring academic concepts and life lessons. ($325)

 

MONSTERS & MYTHS (K-2)

Prepare to enter an enchanted island filled with mythological monsters, legendary creatures, and things that go bump in the night. Students and their STEAM Team® of friends will take on engineering challenges from Dracula to Dragons, from Bigfoot to Hydra, from Medusa to Monster Trucks to Egyptian Mummies!  Topic highlights in this session include the Hydra Head Launch, Monster, Truck Jam and Medusa’s Pet Rock Playground.  Challenge Island is a one-of-a-kind enrichment program on the cutting edge of STEAM education. Students visit ‘islands’ where they work together in STEAM TeamsTM brainstorming, creating, testing, learning and having a HUGE amount of fun! Each class is active, interactive, exciting and totally hands-on and encourages students to collaborate, communicate, think critically and build their creative skills. It’s screen-free and imagination powered fun!  ($325)

 

MIXED ARTS (GRADES K-2)

Enjoy pottery painting, experience mosaic and make your own slime! Children will learn about different painting techniques while making their own personal mug or plate! Enjoy science facts while creating different slimes and decorate a picture frame with mosaic artwork! Presented by Plaster Palace ($325)

 

HANDS ON CLAY (GRADES 1-3)

Students will have fun learning hand-building techniques such as coil, pinch, and slab - and decorating with stamps, stencils, and more - in order to create their own finished pieces. Pinch pots, cups, plates, and animals are only a few of the possibilities! Students will always be encouraged to explore their own ideas and creativity.  Brought to you by Clay Art Center. ($325)

 

CODING & VIDEO GAMES DESIGN WITH HATCH XR (GRADES 3-5)

Designed for students who are already familiar with Scratch, iCAMP’s Coding and Video Game Design with Hatch XR course offers a fresh and exciting new way to learn coding by using it to create their own playable games. Hatch XR starts students off with complex block-based coding, and when they’re ready, moves students into coding with Javascript. Our expert instructors will guide students through the entire game design process, from brainstorming ideas to coding and testing your games, using the latest tools and techniques in Hatch XR. They’ll learn everything they need to know to create engaging and immersive gaming experiences, from coding characters and environments to incorporating sound effects and animations. Not only will students gain valuable coding skills, but they'll also have the satisfaction of seeing their own game come to life before their eyes. And who knows? SPRING SWEETS & SAVORY (GRADES K-5) 

Do you love sweet and savory recipes? If so, then this class will satisfy your appetite. Each week the children will prepare a recipe and bring it home with baking instructions for all to enjoy.  We will make NY style pretzels, cinnamon rolls, creamy veggie dip, best chocolate cake,  cheesy broccoli tots and everyone’s favorite pizza bubbles. As we move into Spring and warmer days we will make lemon loaf cake, focaccia bread, hamantaschen cookies, happy face guacamole dip and refreshing corn salad. As always there will be many “pop up” recipes along the way! Led by Kids Cookery! ($325)

 

ULTIMATE MARTIAL ARTS & SELF DEFENSE PROGRAM (GRADES K-5)

Learn how to kick, jump, and move like a true Ninja in this amazing martial arts and self defense class with Instructor Melanie. In this exciting program your child will become both physically and mentally stronger, developing confidence, discipline, respect, and self-control.  Taught by a certified 3rd degree black belt with many years of teaching experience, your child will learn how to safely bully proof themselves with proper self defense techniques. In this awesome martial arts class there will be board breaking days where your child will learn striking & kicking techniques which they will use to break real wood boards!   ($325)

SPORTS & GAMES (GRADES K-5)

Students will participate in a wide range of P.E. style games and activities as well as modified sport games/tournaments. All sports and games will be developmentally appropriate for elementary aged children. Backyard Sports encourages all students to sign up, regardless of past experience, to participate and learn basic skills and techniques relative to the sports and games offered. ($325)

 

ENCANTO CODING QUEST: UNLEASH THE MAGIC WITH THE MADRIGAL FAMILY (GRADES K-1)

Embark on a captivating journey with the Madrigal family and unleash the enchanting world of coding! In this course, your child will join forces with the magical Madrigal family, combining both unplugged and coding activities to discover their own coding superpowers. Through engaging activities inspired by the captivating movie Encanto, young coders will unravel the secrets of sequencing as they dance to the vibrant rhythms of the Encanto soundtrack. They'll harness the power of conditionals while bringing beloved characters from the movie to life through their artistic creations. Building upon their newfound coding knowledge, the class will then venture into a software-based coding platform. Here, young coders will apply the principles they learned during their unplugged adventures, witnessing the mesmerizing magic of Encanto spring to life before their very eyes! The Encanto Coding Quest invites your child to join the Madrigal family on an unforgettable coding adventure. INTERNATIONAL DANCES (GRADES K-2)

Explore different cultures from around the world through music and dance with Steffi Nossen School of Dance! Using creative movement games and improvisation, students will try many traditional dances from Flamenco to African to Bollywood. You don't need a passport for this class, just a sense of adventure and openness to try new things. ($325)

 

FASHION CLUB (GRADES 3-5)

Unleash your child's passion for fashion in this exciting class! Students will experiment with a variety of ideas and essential elements, providing them with the tools to embark on their journey as budding fashion designers. The adventure begins with a focus on selecting vibrant colors, exploring various materials and textures that are currently on trend, resulting in the creation of personalized mood boards that reflect their unique concepts. Each student's individual mood board will serve as a guide as they bring their designs to life, crafting patterns, garments, and accessories, including bags, shoes, and jewelry, with the option to add a touch of sparkle for that extra flair. Building a solid foundation in fashion drawing techniques, students will gain a deeper understanding of expressing their distinct sense of style. As the semester unfolds, the culmination of their creativity will be showcased in a final portfolio of Fashion Designs, providing a platform for discussion and celebration.  Led by Honest Art. CHESS (GRADES K-5)

For over 2500 years chess has provided a fun learning experience for students of all ages and abilities. The National Scholastic Chess Foundation’s after-school enrichment programs are tailored to accommodate students of different strengths within the same class. With a balance of structured lessons and supervised play, students improve their ability to focus, to create and implement plans, and to adapt their thinking when circumstances change. Along the way, they are introduced to the game’s rich history, they learn to win and lose with grace, and to achieve their goals by persevering through adversity.  Chess instructors will assess and group the children according to skill level.   ($325)

 

FLAG FOOTBALL FRIDAYS (GRADES K-5)

Students will participate in a variety of football based skills and drills as well as play modified flag football games in a fun/safe/supportive setting.  Backyard Sports will cover fundamental skills including passing, catching, snapping, route running, and how to play defense. ($325)

 

POKEMANIA (GRADES K-2)

In Snapology’s Pokémania program, students will explore the Pokémon world and practice their Pokémon training skills!  Using LEGO bricks, they will create their own training gyms, unique battles, and even their very own generation of Pokémon. Your student will also explore some real-world science as they examine the habitats, characteristics, and needs of different Pokémon. They will do more than catch ‘em all, they will build and examine them all very closely and have a blast doing so! ($325)

 

CRAYOLA® WILD WORLD (GRADES K-2)

Are you ready for an art expedition? Let the wonder and beauty of the animal kingdom inspire your empathy, curiosity, and creativity. Learn about lions, elephants, sharks and more, and find out how wildlife conservationists are working to protect species around the globe. Experiment with a variety of art techniques using Crayola® products to create animal-inspired art projects, from frog paintings to polar bear sculptures! Let your creativity run wild and bring your handiwork home to build a menagerie of animal-themed masterpieces. Our young artists will receive Crayola products to take home, and wildlife trading cards that contain fun facts about the featured animal and a biography of a real conservationist working with these animals.($325)

 

MY FIRST LEMONADE STAND!(GRADES K-2)

Learn how to make sweet and tangy lemonade – and make money by selling it!  Experiment with recipes, design flyers, learn how to count, make change and tally your profits. Then, in a showcase finale event, launch your lemonade stand and sell, sell, sell, for a charity your group selects! Brought to you by SPARK Business Academy.  ($325)

 

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY (GRADES 3-5)

Makeinspires introduces students to basic photography skills, techniques and mechanisms. Students review the parts of a camera and how these parts interact with each other. Students also learn and practice different photography styles, angles, filters, and editing with iPad cameras and editing software. Skills and techniques are advanced through various challenge based photography projects. Students learn to absorb their environment in new ways and find art in the world around them. ($325)
