It's a Saxe tradition to celebrate our 8th graders in a big way for all their hard work and success throughout their four years at Saxe. End-of-year planning is in full swing for a final farewell to the Saxe graduating class of 2024.

Celebrate Your Student with Lawn Signs!

Help celebrate the Saxe Class of 2024 by purchasing a lawn sign for your 8th grader. Lawn signs are $25. Proceeds go towards the 8th grade end-of-year activities. 

 

**Pick-ups: 8th-grade lawn signs will be distributed at Saxe on Thursday, May 30th between 2:00-2:30 PM. If you are unable to pick up on May 30th, another pick up in connection with the Brownstone field trip on June 6th between 2:30-3:15 PM.

8th Grade Bash

Monday, June 10, 2024 at 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Saxe Fields, rain or shine

This event is for current 8th grade Saxe students only.

 

The party of the year for 8th graders! Students can expect a wonderful sendoff celebration event. There will be a DJ spinning tunes, lots of dancing, and a wide variety of fun lawn games and exciting activities like air hockey, basketball hoop shots, and photo booths. Students will enjoy dinner from a Pizza Truck PLUS a candy and snack bar. This event will take place outdoors on the grassy fields, so dress accordingly. The cost is $40 per ticket.

8th Grade End-of-Year Video

The 8th-grade end-of-the-year video is in motion!  Please submit 2 photos of your 8th grader for our end-of-the-year video. This video will be played at graduation and available for parents to view/download after graduation. The submission Deadline is May 23rd. 

 

What makes a good submission? Images that show your child in action doing something they enjoy. Treasured preschool snaps. Pictures that make you smile. Please keep images for the 2023 8th grade class; pets are the exception. JPEG/PNG accepted:

  •  1 of your child 0-8 years
  •  1 from their SAXE years

Students will get their first peek at the 2023-24 yearbooks while enjoying a casual bagel breakfast with their friends at Saxe first thing in the morning.

Friday, June 14th, 9:45 a.m., New Canaan High School Gymnasium
For our final event, we will once again be able to have a proper send-off for the Saxe Class of 2024 with our traditional promotion ceremony at New Canaan High School. The occasion is formal, so please dress accordingly. Drop-off is at 9:15 at Dunning Field.
