Veterans Day is a time of remembrance, reflection, and commemoration of the many sacrifices our country’s military personnel have endured to ensure our liberty and our freedom.  In this spirit, your service to our country will be honored at Willow Creek Elementary School November 11, 2021.  

We want to extend to you a personal invitation to join us on Thursday, November 11, for two special school assemblies commemorating your service to our country.  During this day we would love for you to join our students for lunch, speak in the classrooms about the importance of Veterans Day, and be honored in one or both assemblies dedicated to your service.  Feel free, if you would like, to dress in your service uniform bearing any medals you have received. Uniforms are not required.  You are welcome to attend one or both of our assemblies.

The following is an itinerary for November 11:

10:00 - 10:45 am - 3rd-5th Grade Assembly Honoring our Veterans (Willow Creek Elementary School Gym)
     10:45 am - 12:15 pm - Reception in the Library /  Outside weather permitting
     10:30 am -12:40 pm – Classroom Visits & Lunch (pick any grade level you would like to be involved in)
          2nd Grade – 10:30-10:55
          1st Grade  – 10:55-11:20
          Kindergarten – 11:25-11:50
          3rd Grade – 11:50-12:15
          4th Grade – 12:15-12:40
          5th Grade – 12:40-1:05
12:15-1:00 pm – K-2nd Grade Assembly Honoring our Veterans

Throughout the day, we will make a reception area available for you to relax, converse with other service members, and enjoy light refreshments.
