Lunch volunteer opportunities are divided into two shorter shifts in an effort to allow more parents the chance to volunteer, however, the greatest need for help is during the K-2nd lunch shift since our littles require the most assistance. Volunteers will alternate helping out in two roles during lunchtime - as a lunchroom volunteer and as a hallway greeter serving as a school ambassador to visiting parents.In the lunchroom, volunteers will:
- help students get through the lunch line
- help students open lunch items as needed (ask them to try first)
- help students line up to return to class
- wipe down tables and sweep as needed
- help lunch time run smoothly & safely
This is also a great opportunity to just chat with the kiddos & get to know them during a fun, unstructured time in their day.
In the hallway, volunteers will:
- greet parents and students as they enter
- direct traffic so everyone knows where to (and not to) go
