It’s time to update your family information in the EEPTA database. Updating your information is simple. Simply log in to www.EEPTA.com and a blue “Notice” should appear under the banner. Simply click where it says “Please take a moment and review it here”. You will then be prompted to update your contact information, student information (aka 2021-2022 Teacher Assignment and/or addition of any new students), and your directory preferences. The PTA will be creating holiday goodie bags for our staff and need your help! Check out the Amazon wishlist and help us get a gift card and candy for all of our wonderful Evergreen staff! Happy Holidays!  The Community Outreach Committee is asking for donations for holiday meal bags and gift cards to support families in our community.  Each bag should contain the items listed in the sign up link below along with a $15 gift card to a grocery store for perishables (please send to the front office and label as meal).  In addition, we are asking for additional gift cards to Target or Walmart to shop for presents for the children in each family.  

To ensure timely distribution to the families, please have your donations to the front office by Monday December 13th.  Gift cards should be placed in an envelope and labeled either holiday meal (grocery store) or holiday drive (for Target and Walmart).  Thank you all so much for your support and generosity, especially during the holiday season.  Please feel free to contact Courtney Hunter at courtneyhunter006@gmail.com with any questions.

Thank you to all of you who have taken time out of your day to help out during lunch time! Volunteering during lunch is a great way to help the Evergreen community as well as say "Hi" to your own child during lunch. You can help out in only your child's grade or stay to help other grade levels also, if you would like. It is easy and a huge help to the EES staff!

Room Parent are still needed for a few of our Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th grade teachers.  The primary job of the Room Parent is to email parents about the needs of the teacher.  No meeting attendance required.  If interested, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Ann Long.

Evergreen Elementary PTA plans many educational and social events for the children throughout the school year.  The PTA Volunteer Program is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school. We know that parents today juggle very busy schedules and the Evergreen Elementary PTA strives to offer many opportunities in ways each of you can help.

The EEPTA Still Needs Committee Chairs:

The PTA is currently seeking Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs and Committee members for the 2021-22 school year. 

Committee Chairs and/or Co-Chairs are needed for the following committees:

• After School Enrichment (Spring 2022)
• 5th Grade Reception
• Barnes and Noble
• Reflections (Co-chair needed to work with the current chair and then transition to chair for the 2022-23 school year.  This is a nation-wide PTA program)

We are also seeking 2-3 volunteers to join the Spring Festival Planning Committee.

Our next Noodles & Co Spirit Night will be on December 9th from 4-8pm at the Alverser Rd. location. Order online or in person! Be sure to tell them you are with Evergreen!  A percentage of all sales comes right back to EES!

Order some delicious cookies made by For the Love of Flour from the online link below and pick them up on the afternoon of Friday Dec. 10 at EES. You can choose from homemade sugar cookie kits that the kids will have fun decorating, or gingerbread cookies. There will also be an option to order a hot chocolate bomb or bag of cookies for a special teacher/staff member. A percentage of all sales come directly back to EES!

Order all day at any of the RVA PAPA JOHN'S locations for carryout or delivery between December 14th - 16th and 10% of your order will be donated back to the school. Just let them know you are an EES family on the phone or order online at papajohns.com and type in EVERGREEN in the PROMO code box. We are still trying to get as many orders as we can for our Dollars for Dough competition, where we have a chance to win up to 10,000$!! All orders will also count towards the Papa Johns D4D contest (250 orders using our school code are required by the end of May 2022 for us to qualify for a chance to win). For the 2020-21 D4D contest we won $1000! Help us win more this year.
