SUBJECT: PTA May News

PTA Board Auditor

The PTA is looking for a financial auditor to join our Board. The key role of the auditor is to audit the books and financial records of a PTA to determine their accuracy, present written reports on audits to the board and the association for adoption, forward copies of adopted audits to council/district PTA as indicated in unit bylaws.  A more detailed job description can be found here.  This is a two year volunteer position.  If you are interested in joining our board as PTA Auditor, please contact Sara Lake

Math Club

PTA sponsored Math Club organizes math contests throughout the year for interested students to participate in. These contests include semiannual Noetic Learning Math Contests for Grades 2-6, two sets - Division E (for Grades 4-6) and Division M (for Grade 6) of five Math Olympiad Contests, MATHCOUNTS School and Chapter competitions (for Grade 6) and AMC-8 Contests (for Grades 5-6), all of which further develop students' problem solving skills and mathematical ingenuity.


This past month, 52 students participated in the 2023 Spring Noetic Contest at the Sycamore Ridge MUR (pictured) and our school claimed 2 Team Achievement Awards. In addition, 27 students received National Honor Roll and 17 Honorable Mention! Congratulations! What an amazing achievement.

Congratulations Ellie!

The final results are in for this year's Reflections Art Contest and Ellie, 5th grade, won a Merit achievement award for her 'My Rainbow Voice' painting in the Intermediate level, in Visual Arts category.  

Restaurant Fundraiser - June 2

Download the Box Top app and scan your grocery store/Costco receipts today. Each Box Top is worth .10 cents towards our school and can be collected from your favorite items such as Annie's products, ZipLoc bags, Nature Valley granola bars, Go Gurts and more.  For more information on this program visit Box Tops 4 Education.

Ralph's Rewards Program

One of the easiest ways for you to support Sycamore Ridge is to link your Ralphs Rewards card to the Sycamore Ridge PTA. Sycamore Ridge is missing out on thousands of dollars a year due to low participation in this program. Visit Ralphs.com and sign in or create account. Use the drop down in the upper right corner with your name to select "My Account". On the left, select "Community Contributions". Search "Sycamore Ridge PTA" or organization number SE440 and select "Enroll".
