PTA Equity Project:

One Fund. One Community.

About Us

The PTA Equity Project (PEP) ensures that all students in Evanston/Skokie District 65 get the most benefit from PTA resources regardless of the school they attend.

Through the PEP Fund, PTA resources are equitably distributed so that all students can better access the vital programs and enrichments that PTAs provide.

Our Work

The gap in PTA fundraising in District 65 is significant. In a single year, the range is as large as $32/student to $286/student.

This leads to a number of disparities in school experience for students, families, and even teachers.

It affects how many and what type of community-building events a PTA can host, how many enrichment activities and scholarship opportunities a PTA can provide, and the monetary support PTAs can provide teachers for things like school supplies and magazine subscriptions. PTAs have been instrumental in helping to address inequities within their school buildings.

It is time to take the collective energy and expertise of our PTAs to address inequities districtwide - to expand our thinking from “my school” to “my district.”
